The need for a safe space where individuals can present themselves is ever-growing worldwide, and Su Casa Salon & Bridal Suite has made it possible in La Crosse, WI. Su Casa is built on a foundation of inclusion and respect. A place for all ethnicities and genders no matter how you identify. Su Casa is Dress Code Project certified, ensuring all efforts to provide gender-affirming and safe experiences for the LGBTQ2S+ community. A safe environment for their clients is essential, but so is a safe and sustainable world.

Su Casa Salon and Bridal Suite opened its doors in 2020 in the middle of the global pandemic. Despite challenges from day one, the salon persevered, and Su Casa was named "2nd Best of La Crosse” the first year of business. The success doesn't stop there; in 2022 and 2023, Su Casa's bridal team earned the "Best of the Knot" and "Best of Wedding Wire." Su Casa Salon’s team is devoted to expanding their knowledge through continuous education.

Together they aim to make connections with clients that will last decades. Let them become apart of your life's routine. Su Casa is working towards becoming a green circle salon by recycling 90% of its waste and utilizing solar power to run the space.

Karina "rina", @rinakarina.atsucasa, Hair Artist, She/Her

Who is Karina?

Since Karina started her profession at the age of 18, she has continued to challenge her abilities and grow as a hairstylist. Certified as a Diva stylist, Ouidad specialist, and TIGI colorist – her ambition keeps her driven to learn more. She thrives on Cutting hair of all textures, is a lived in blonde specialist and bridal hair guru.

Karina often reminds herself of a humbling experience at the NYC Academy Diva Curl certification. It wasn’t the skill sets or new tools that left Karina feeling elated, but the knowledge that she has the power to teach other individuals how to love their natural beauty with proper techniques and within themselves. Behind a chair, Karina can create a masterpiece, but her passion is more profound than the reflection in a mirror.

Some of Karina's most significant accomplishments have been through teaching others. Her devotion to education has allowed her to teach other stylists confidence behind the chair, how to make money in the business, and most importantly, the ability to step out of their comfort zone. Karina has big dreams for herself. Becoming a regular guest speaker at salon schools to educate and encourage students behind the chair is one of these dreams. With the ambition and creative team Karina has supporting her, that dream isn't too far from the future.

Karina's passion has provided her with the means to be the hairstylist she is today and will continue to be. Outside of the salon, Karina yearns to travel and experience what the world and different cultures have to offer. Especially the food!

Emmanuel "Manny", @massagedbyemma, Massage Therapist, he/him

Who is Emmanuel?

Born and raised in Puerto Rio, Emmanuel is a driven massage therapist. Emmanuel's passion for massage therapy started long ago with his personal need for healing. Having suffered from Scoliosis, the surgery resulted in permanent placement of two bars and 27 screws in his back. The lack of range of motion has causes chronic pain and has compromised his digestive system and diaphragm. Finding ways to find relief, he came across massage therapy. Emmanuel took that time and energy into learning how to heal others pain through massage therapy. He knows how important exercise and mobility are to living a healthy life. He strives daily to pass his knowledge and skills onto others in need of the relief he so long sought after too. To him, massage therapy isn't just about the relaxation, its about healing and wellness.

Emmanuel is determined to continually educate himself and perfect his craft as a massage therapist. He is certified in Reiki, Cupping, Hot Stone, Thai Massage and Stretching techniques. Emmanuel is constantly learning new ways to help his clients and personalize his work for their best interest.

When you can’t find Emmanuel working to better others’ lives, you can find him spending time with those he loves and cares about deeply. Surely, there’s a board game nearby he’s ready to bust out and invite friends over.

Angie "ang", @fringesbyang, Hair Artist, she/her

Who is Angie?

Angie started her hairstyling career in 1998, attending the State Collage of Beauty Culture in Wausau. Attending beauty school was great, but Angie knew there was more. She truly fell in love with hairdressing after beauty school when she worked at her first salon job and created relationships with her clients and fellow stylists.

Thru these connections and relationships, Angie decided to take her skill to the next level. She is a certified as a Bumble and Bumble Network Educator and a TIGI Classic Collection Hair Cutter. With learning so many different cutting techniques, she fell in love with the natural movement of hair. With a scissor or razor, Angie strives to give her clients haircuts that look awesome airdried with minimal effort in styling. With her wearable styles, she also loves to create lived in colors or simply just cover grey hairs. Let her show you how to go from your hair wearing you, to rocking your natural style with ease! She is always taking the time to learn new techniques that will leave her clients with a fresh new look every time.

Although she might be a bit shy at first, mention anything to do with music and you'll be chatting up in no time! Angie and her 3 teens love to spend their free time going to live music and exploring the out doors. She aspires to network with more people in the community using her skills to help where its needed. If she could give anyone advice, it would be, "Social media can be overwhelming with information. Trust your stylist! They have your best interest at heart".
